A message from David Morris, external inclusion manager, LOCOG London 2012

My role is to lead for LOCOG work around ensuring that we deliver a truly inclusive Games with a focus on the external environment (everything outside of Olympic and Paralympic venues and park).

It is very important that as many of us as possible feed back on barriers faced and expectations about being part of London 2012. We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to influence change and deliver more inclusive space.

Arkenford, in association with Live Tourism, have been commissioned by the London Development Agency to conduct a very important research study designed to evaluate London’s accessibility as a visitor destination. This study will help to identify the steps London needs to make leading up to the Olympics and Paralympics in 2012 in order that they can live up to their objectives to make the Games ‘the most accessible and inclusive ‘Games’ destination.

A link to the questionnaire is provided below for you to review. As you will see, we are going into a level of detail that has not been explored previously. We are wary that this might put off some respondents from completing the survey so within the questionnaire we have given them an option to complete a more generic version.

Please complete the survey by going to this link

Thank you.
