Testimonial from Croydon Enterprise
11 September 2009
“In order to improve our work with disabled entrepreneurs the Croydon Enterprise delivery partners participated on the Enabled 4 Enterprise training delivered by Maria Zedda of Wideaware. This training focused on the practical strategies to work productively with disabled entrepreneurs, and give relevant business support.
Maria, also conducted a Disability Access Audit of the buildings, practices and procedures of our key delivery partners providing recommendations that could be put into practice, to ensure premises and practices were accessible.
Since then, participation on the Generic business support programme which at the beginning of the financial year had participation levels at 2% for this programme, after training and implementing the audit findings, the average participation for the year was 11.2%
The result of the training improved participation on the Programme dramatically and we hope to turn that participation into viable new businesses. Wideaware have helped us to begin our journey to improve business support to disabled entrepreneurs”.
