Wideaware at the NFEA

Maria Zedda, Director of Training at Wideaware, delivered a presentation at the 2007 National Federation of Enterprise Advice Agencies Conference, in which she and a colleague from the Enabled 4Enterprise Partnership spoke to a delegation of Advice Agencies representatives about how to offer their services to existing disabled entrepreneurs and clients with disabilities who are thinking of setting up a business.

It was an opportunity to discuss the challenges and rewards of providing inclusive services and how with a little planning, forethought and training, Business Advice agencies can offer accessible services to this expanding client group.

Wideaware are delighted to have participated in the event as they are a young company themselves and know first hand the challenge of setting up and accessing business services if these are not inclusive.

Maria said: “Hopefully, we are helping towards spreading the message to all Business Advice Agencies in the UK, that disabled entrepreneurs can be very successful and be very motivated if enabled to access services – they are eager to contribute to the country’s economy and demonstrate how financial independence can be achieved with some forethought and planning.”
