Testimonials

Here’s what a few recent clients and participants had to say about our training:

St Christopher’s Fellowship invited Wideaware to deliver a disability awareness seminar at our staff conferences, in London and at the Isle of Man. Maria Zedda used a variety of methods, including films and group work to inform the audience in a very interesting way. I would throughly recommend Wideaware to other organisations.

Following a recent awarding of the Two Ticks Disability Symbol, we wanted to raise disability awareness amongst our county offices. We contacted Maria Zedda at Wideaware to help us deliver the training. During her half day presentation, Maria facilitated group discussion, showed 2 useful videos and talked through relevant examples of disability. Maria engaged with her audience well and feedback received from candidates was excellent.

The disability awareness training delivered by Maria Zedda was the most enjoyable and inclusive session I have participated in. The information was genuinely useful and thought provoking and prompted some interesting discussions which Maria guided sensitively and encouraged honest and good humoured interaction between the delegates.

Her training brought the topic to life and made it relevant. The fact that Maria could share her own personal experiences was also a valuable insight.

This has been the first time I have ever taken an online course. I have really enjoyed it an found it extremely informative. I have found the website fun and easy to use, and being able to work in my own time definitely helped, as it can be done at any point of the day. I feel that I have gained a lot from this experience. Thank you.

Fareham Borough Council engaged Wideaware to deliver disability awareness training to officers over one day on site. The training was well delivered and covered theory and application of current social theory related to disability. We were impressed with Maria’s ability to respond to challenges from the floor and to provide good examples of the theories in action. We would definitely use Wideaware again. Thank you.

I attended one of Maria’s workshops on Diversity and learned more than I expected. Through a mix of talking, slides, videos and exercises, Maria involved the whole group and kept our attention at all times for what might have been thought to be a bit of a boring subject. The way Maria delivered it made it anything but boring. The day was made even more “real” with Maria’s examples and stories drawn from personal experience of being able to be a very good workshop presenter despite being deaf.

The day workshop was not only rich of useful information but it was also made very pleasant by the host and trainer Maria Zedda who with her personality was able to engage and interact with the group in a positive way to achieve the objectives set for the day. Well done and thank you.
